"We needed a new roof on our extension and repairs to our main roof. The tiles on the extension were slipping and there was evidence of some some water ingress in the kitchen. We also had a faint patch appearing on the bedroom ceiling. We contacted several roofers on 2nd March and Bernard replied within an hour, asking when he could come and see what needed to be done, arranging for 4th March. He also contacted us on the 3rd to confirm the appointment, so the regular communication put me at ease as to how professional he was - other roofers had not returned our messages, or initially displayed interest but not stuck to the appointments. He was on time for the appointment and was friendly and knowledgeable - we immediately felt at ease with him. When looking at the main roof, despite it being of similar age to the extension roof, Bernard was honest and said we didn't need a new main roof, repairs would be sufficient. If someone had told me the whole thing needed to be replaced, I would have no reason to question it, so I also appreciated how honest he was. Their quotes were very reasonable and they did a great job - he was quite busy and couldn't book us in until mid-April, but this wasn't a concern for us because the repairs were not overly urgent. Because I work from home, he would send me video updates of what needed to be done and what they had been doing that day - our roof needed a little extra timber inserted and he sorted it with no fuss and no extra cost. There was an issue one day with his labourer not turning up but Bernard was very apologetic and did what he could on his own for the day. It wasn't a problem for us - we appreciated Bernard making the effort to turn up solo and the roof was completed the start of the following week. There was a week between the extension roof being completed and the main roof repairs being started, but this was due to them waiting for material delivery - Bernard also kept me updated with this and when they anticipated they would be back to start the work. I was really pleased with the service from B. H. Roofing and I would highly recommend them to anyone in the South Wales area looking for roofing work. He answered all my questions patiently (no mean feat!) and was everything you'd look for in a reliable tradesman. If we need our main roof replaced in the future, I will certainly be asking them back, and if any of our friends or family need roofing work, we would be recommending them. Our next door neighbour has also employed them to replace his aging roof later this year. They also swept up after themselves and left everything clean and tidy.
