Charlies Plumbing Newport

"Edited to add: It seems Charlie is not in a coma or anything like that, as he updated his relationship status on his personal Facebook page right around the time I posted this. So he’s just ghosting us and has stolen from us. We’re going to begin small claims proceedings against him. First I want to say that I really hope Charlie is okay, and if something is wrong or has happened to him, I will obviously change/delete this review. We have had Charlie do quite a bit of work for us and have always been very happy with his work and his prices, which seemed good value for money. However, I recently prepaid him for a job (to fix a leak in our shower pump) because he said the parts were expensive. I was happy to pay him in advance, as I’d had no reason not to trust him because of all the work he’s done in the past, and he would have had further business from us in future. After I paid him, though, he seems to have completely ghosted us. He’s not returning calls or responding to texts. This has been going on several weeks now (since well before Christmas). He also left us in a lurch because we had guests coming to stay with us just after Christmas, so I had to quickly find and pay another plumber to come and sort the issue. Again, I do hope that Charlie is okay, and if he’s not, I hope someone who knows him will reach out and let me know. For now, though, it does feel like he has stolen from us. It’s very disappointing and upsetting."

"Just bought a new house and Honestly I would say by far the best service I had to date. Charlie has been absolutely brilliant moved my downstairs and upstairs radiators to another wall and done a such a fabulous job. Also called him out on another day for my boiler repair and within 20mins he was here to help with repair. I now have him on speed dial. If you are thinking to get a plumber out then I highly recommend you get in contact with them. Great customer service, efficient and a good price 👍"

"Had a blockage somewhere that backed up and sewerage was leaking into the house. Called Charlie to see if he could advise on what best to do and within half hour he was round to investigate the issue. He got the blockage cleared and fitted new pipe work as he advised the existing needed replacing, there and then. Couldn't recommend Charlie enough. Fast, efficient and excellent service."

"Hired Charlie for the plumbing on one of our kitchen installs. Charlie was helpful and a pleasure to work with , our customer purchased a bit of a fancy sink that became a bit of a task to plumb in as it required some modification to enable the boiling water tap to fit, but nothing was too much trouble for Charlie. Pipework was installed neat and tidy allowing the best use of space available in the kitchen sink unit , It was a pleasure to have Charlie carry out our plumbing and will have no hesitation to hire him again on future work. I would thoroughly recommend this business for any plumbing services required in and around Newport."

Charlie came out at short notice and did a fantastic job in re-installing my concealed toilets in my ensuite and bathroom. Charlie was the fourth plumber to come out and the previous plumbers were unable to help. Very proffesional, friendly and very thourough. Oh and the price was fair too.Thanks Charlie highly reccomend."
